Buhari: Nigeria's treasury virtually empty

President Buhari says he met a virtually empty treasury when he assumed office. He said this while speaking with members of the state House correspondents in Aso Rock earlier today.

It is such a disgrace for Nigeria. I think Nigeria should be in a position to even pay it’s workers. Over 13 killed in twin bomb blast in Maiduguri today

At least 13 people have been confirmed dead following twin explosions that rocked Baga road in Maiduguri, Borno state today June 22nd. The bomb attacks were carried out by two female suicide bombers. One of the female suicide bombers blew herself up around the Baga market area while the second one detonated the bomb strapped on her inside the market. Most of the victims killed were women and children.

Breaking News: Buhari reportedly cuts number of aides, journalists for foreign, local trips

President Buhari has reportedly reduced the number of journalists and aides that will accompany him on his foreign and local trips. President Buhari's directive was contained in a statement sent from his office to the relevant agencies. Under the new arrangement, two journalists, as against 4, will travel officially with the president.
