Serie A duo Inter and Roma are reportedly set to battle it out for the signing of Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas.
The Spaniard has long been rumoured for the exit door at Los Blancos, and as rumours swirl regarding the import of Manchester United stopper David De Gea to Madrid, at least two Serie A sides are ready to pounce.
According to Onda Cero, both of Inter and Roma have submitted initial offers for the 34-year-old.
However, Italy’s representatives may also face competition from Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Besiktas, while English Premier League side Arsenal are long-term admirers of the 2010 World Cup winner.
The pursuit of all named clubs could be in vain, though, as reports claim that Casillas is prepared to fight for his starting place once more.
After making just two La Liga appearances in the 2013-14 campaign, the club legend returned to action by registering 32 appearances in the season just gone.
