President Buhari meets with Service Chiefs
President Buhari this afternoon had a meeting
with all the Service Chiefs to look into the security challenges being
faced in the Northeast of the country. Present at the meeting were
National Security Adviser, Col. Dasuki, Kenneth Minimah, Chief of Army
staff; Adesola Amosu, Chief of Air Staff; Usman Jibrin, Chief of Naval

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted leaving Saint Tropez's exclusive club Le Quai in the early hours of Monday.
After leaving he was caught
urinating in front of an ice cream store in the upmarket old harbour
area of Saint Tropez as his friends stood guard nearby.
Despite trying to hide behind a car,
port security guard agents were quick to spot the star, and immediately
asked him to move on from the area. He wasn't arrested, he only got a

2 June 1978, Santiago Bernabéu died in Madrid aged 82. During his time
in office as president, Real Madrid grew a lot in terms of both sport
and as an institution. The greatest successes came in La Liga and the
European Cup, a competition he helped to start up. As well as being a
president, Santiago Bernabéu was also a player, coach and director at
the club.
Born in Almansa (Albacete) on 8 June 1895, he took up the Real Madrid presidency in 1943. Among his big initiatives was the construction of the Nuevo Chamartín, opened in 1947 and renamed in his honour years later. On a sporting level, the football and basketball teams both became the best sides in the world.
A great trophy cabinet
From 1943 to 1978, the Real Madrid football team won 6 European Cups, 1 International Cup, 2 Latin Cups, 2 Small World Cups, 16 La Liga titles and 6 Copa del Rey titles. The basketball side's list of titles comprised 6 European Cups, 3 Intercontinental Cups, 1 Latin Cup, 19 La Liga titles and 18 Copa del Rey titles.
