Though Arsene Wenger was never normally associated with splashing the cash during the summer transfer window, his recent big-money moves for Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have left Arsenal fans looking for the next marquee signing.The Gunners have been linked with a host of players despite the summer still being in its infancy, but who should be Wenger's primary target?

Both David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny have come under scrutiny, meaning a goalkeeper is likely to be high on Wenger's shopping list, with Petr Cech the obvious option.

The Chelsea man wants to stay in London after falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, but with Jose Mourinho reportedly keen on a swap deal, would signing the Czech Republic international be worth it?

Meanwhile, the debate over Arsenal's defensive midfield options rumbles on. Francis Coquelin performed admirably during the second half of the season, but it seems Wenger is keen to bolster his pack in that area.

Morgan Schneiderlin remains a long-term target, though with Southampton demanding a fee of around £25 million (€35m), Wenger must weigh up whether he would be willing to splash the cash on the France international.

Further forward, Olivier Giroud remains a divisive figure for the FA Cup winners, and both Edinson Cavani and Karim Benzema may be able to provide a more consistent goal threat compared with the much-maligned forward.
