Cristiano Ronaldo no match for Messi, says Nadal

Former Barcelona defender Miguel Angel Nadal believes Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo is nowhere near the same level as Lionel Messi.

The Argentine forward played a key role in Barcelona's successful 2014-15 campaign as he guided them to the treble with a string of sublime performances.

Tech: Travel jacket does 15 things at once

Here's a jacket that could very well be the Swiss Army Knife of travel wear -- it's got 15 features.

"This is the travel jacket you always needed, but never existed," said Hiral Sanghavi, co-founder of BauBax, which is making the jacket.

With a prototype ready, the startup began its Kickstarter campaign Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. to raise $20,000 to launch the jacket later this year. It hit that target in just over 5 hours.

"I'm thrilled to see how well this product has resonated with people from all over the world," Sanghavi said.
The travel jacket is designed with multiple hidden functions that promise to make commuting of any sort more comfortable and hands-free.

Tech: 9V battery makes your smoke detector so much less annoying

If there's one dumb device in your home worth making smart, it's your smoke detector.

It chirps when your battery is low (inevitably at 3 a.m.), it goes off when you're making stir-fry, and you have to stand on a chair or get out a dish towel to silence it. Most importantly, if there's a real emergency when you're away from home, there's no way for you to know about it.

Windows 10 upgrade: You'll have to wait

Are you counting down the days until you can upgrade your Windows 7 or 8 PC to Windows 10?
You might need to exercise a little bit more patience.

Though Microsoft (MSFT, Tech30) said a month ago that Windows 10 would become available on July 29, Microsoft clarified on Thursday that everyone won't be able to upgrade on that day
Microsoft will roll-out upgrades slowly, in waves.

Tech: 20 ways to make your Chrome browser so much better

The Web can be overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be.
If you're a Google (GOOGL GOOGLE) Chrome user, there are thousands of browser plug-ins called "extensions" that can make it easier to stay on top everything you do online.

Here are some of the best free Chrome extensions you can download.
Keep in mind, these add-ons can access information about you, including your browsing history, location, and data that you copy and paste. Most of these extensions were built by third-party developers, though some were designed by Google.

Facebook may release Siri-like virtual assistant

Moneypenny has a new home outside the James Bond series, and we hear it's at Facebook.
Facebook (FB, Tech30) will be integrating a personal assistant into its Messenger app, according to The Information. But unlike Apple's (AAPL, Tech30) Siri virtual assistant, Moneypenny will use real people for "help researching and ordering products and services."

Tech: Firefox blocks Flash, and Facebook calls for its death

Adobe Flash, the much-loathed, bug-plagued relic of a browser plugin, just got a big nail driven into its coffin.
Mozilla blocked Flash by default in its Firefox browser late Monday night, a day after Facebook's (FB, Tech30) security chief called for Adobe to kill Flash once and for all.

The Flash-bashing picked up last week after revelations that the spyware giant known as the Hacking Team had been using Flash to remotely take over people's computers and infect them with malware. (That discovery took place after the Hacking Team was itself hacked. Documents revealed in the breach showed that the Hacking Team exploited two critical vulnerabilities in Flash's code.)
